It was directed by Gabriel Range and played by some good actors/actresses including Wunmi Mosaku,Isaach De Bankole,Lubna Azabal,Igal Naor,Natalie Mghoi. Movie story is Based on the real-life experiences of Mende Nazer, the story unfolds as twelve-year-old Malia, daughter of champion wrestler Bah,is abducted from her Sudanese village in the Nubar Mountains by pro-government Arab militia and sold into slavery to a woman in Khartoum, who beats her for touching her daughter. After six years she is sent to London, where her name is changed, but her miserable life of servitude continues. Her passport is taken and she is told that her father will die if she goes to the authorities. Fortunately she meets a sympathetic person who seems to offer her the hope of escape and reunion with Bah,back in Sudan. For all the film's optimism an end title states that there are around 5,000 'slave' workers currently in Britain. . Running time : 80 minutes. Nice! .

watch I Am Slave (2010) on videoweed. A young woman struggles to regain the freedom that's been stolen from her in this drama from filmmaker Gabriel Range. Malia (Wunmi Mosaku) comes from a proud Sudanese family, and her father Bah (Isaach De Bankole) is a tribal leader and a man of no small power in their community. But none of that means much when Malia is captured with a number of other young women in a raid on their village by mujahideen soldiers. Malia is shipped off to Khartoum, where she's sold to an Arab family and Laila (Hiam Abbass) uses violence and humiliation to break her spirit and make her an obedient servant. After several years, Laila sends Malia to London to work for her cousin Haleema (Lubna Azabal), but there is little change in her routine -- Malia works all day and all night, receives no pay, has no free time or privileges, and is rarely allowed outside as she tries to find some way to regain her freedom. I Am Slave received its North American premiere at the 2010 Toronto International Film Festival. ~ Mark Deming, Rovi
